Wonky Art from alt.graphics.photoshop
Please Click on the Picture to View the Full Sized Image A few of the works I've created after participating in a recent discussion about gradients and difference layers in the newsgroup alt.graphics.photoshop. You can read the original thread here. Basically Gary Schooley discovered that if you layer a gradient several times, changing the top layers to difference mode, rotating and flipping it all different ways and apply some filters you end up with some pretty odd stuff. Don't ask me how this works, I know what I did, but not why it ends up looking like this! If you're a Photoshop user you can download a set of actions, one will create "wonky_08" from scratch and the other automates the whole flippy difference thing. Warning, many people have spent far more time on this than is healthy. Sorry but these images don't compress well, if you're on a modem it may take a while to download them. Back to the Portfolio
